FARIDA GUL HAROON

Farida Gul Haroon is best known for her bold dispersion abstract painting and finely etched portraits. Her work spans these two genres of media and styles: traversing between the freedom that dispersion painting offers and the restraint of fine line  drawing for cross-hatching. "I believe in the diversity of artistic expression", she has said.

 

Farida's subjects range from abstract calligraphy to stylized portraits. Interested in advocating for social and economic rights of women, she always conveys a sense of hope. 

 

Farida's work was exhibited in Miami Design District in October, 2016. In prior years her work has also been shown in other cities including New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Fort Lauderdale.
